Boys Need to Do Ballet!
I was introduced to ballet at age 12 and never looked back. I was lucky that growing up in Pittsburgh, I was inspired by the hall of fame wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Lynne Swann, who was injured and rehabilitated back to his steller on the field performance through ballet classes. This was more than enough proof for my classmates that, ballet is indeed not for sissies, when the great Lynne Swann was taking classes. After a short time in ballet I was awarded a full Ford Foundation scholarship to attend the School of American Ballet in New York City, and the rest is history.
Ballet has rewarded me in too many ways to mention, from training with some of the greatest teachers of our time, dancing around the world sharing the stage with many luminaries, to making life long friends in the arts. Please read the 2 articles in the links below, if you have a slight or even currently no interest in ballet. This is an art form that can change your life forever as it did mine.
Contact us at Scottsdale School of Ballet if you have any questions about enrolling for ballet classes this year. We have a place ready for you so all you need to do is get to the school and enroll. You can review all info here on the website.
