Rebecca Boizelle, attended Southern Utah University and National Taiwan University of the Arts to obtain her B.S. in Dance Education. While studying at SUU, Rebecca had the opportunity to perform and develop her skills as an artist and scholar in various dance avenues. She has had the pleasure of performing repertoire in the Alwin Nikolais Extravaganza under the tutelage of Kay Anderson, and Alberta del Saz. Rebecca was accepted to be published as a finalist and present her undergraduate research regarding dance and multi-media at National College of Undergraduate Research. Mentored by Paul Ocampo and Chien-Ying Wang she developed skills in cultural dance, the utilization of props, multimedia and choreography.
During her time at National Taiwan University of the Arts she learned various forms of classical Chinese dance and furthered her training in modern, ballet, choreography and partnering. Upon returning, her choreographed work ‘Watchmen’, was chosen for the Gala at American College Dance Festival and awarded ‘Outstanding Choreographer’ from SUU faculty.
Rebecca has had the opportunity to dance with Dulce Dance Company, Elevate Dance Company and is currently dancing with CaZo Dance Company. Rebecca shares her enthusiasm for dance by teaching tap, ballet, contemporary, choreography, creative movement, color guard and cultural dance throughout the Phoenix valley. She is thrilled to bring her varied education and continuing performing experience to enrich her students dance instruction, and is passionate about helping them discover their potential in dance.
