Policies
Registration
|
- Students are registered for the entire year. Returning students should have the registration form turned in by August 9th 2010 to take advantage
of the registration discount. Classes begin August 16th, 2010. All new and returning students are required to
complete a registration
form signed by their parent or guardian prior to attending classes.
You may register at any time during the year, provided space remains in that level or class. We require a minimum number of students for classes to take place at any time during the year. All schedules are subject to change or modification
Registration Fee
- All returning SSB students are required to pay a $25.00 non-refundable registration fee. If
any tuition payment option is paid in full on or before Monday August 9th your registration fee will be only $15.00. New students are required to pay a non-refundable $35.00.
Students are considered "returning" when enrolling by the first week of SSB classes.
Discounts
- A family discount applies as follows: 10% off first additional child and 15% off second child enrolled and 20% off third child enrolled. All discounts apply with the highest percentage deducted from the lowest amount of the tuitions paid. Family discounts will only apply for students registering and making their payment option in full.
Parents will receive a $15.00 referral credit for each recommended student who registers with
Scottsdale School of Ballet. Family and referral discounts will only apply if siblings or referred
student enrolls for one full period or more and is not applicable to pro-rated tuition. Referral discounts will be deducted from the following payment period tuition.
Pro-Rated Tuition
- All new students will
be charged one additional week from the pro-rated date. Returning students tuition will be pro-rated a maximum of one week, and these students are encouraged to make-up classes with-in the same pay period at lower level classes.
Payments and Payment Schedule
- You may fill out the registration form, attach your $15 or $25 (returning) or $35.00 (new) registration
fee check and mail it to:

Payments and all fees should be made to Scottsdale School of Ballet or SSB. If mailing payment, mail to
the address listed above. We accept only cash or checks for payment of tuition and fees. If you are paying in cash do not
leave the studio without a receipt. This is the only proof we have that you have made a payment.
Returned checks will result in a $25.00 charge to your account.

Our year is now 40 weeks. Payments at SSB are now on a 5 Payment, 2 Payments Per Year or 1 Yearly Payment. All payment dates are due on the dates listed below. Please make sure your payments are made on time.

First Payment: August 16th due by -August 21st
2 Payment per Year Due August 16th 1 Yearly Payment Due August 16th
Second Payment: October 18th due by October 23rd
3rd Payment: December 6th due by December 11th* 2 Payments Per year Due December 6th
4th Payment: February 7th Due by February 12th
5th Payment: April 4th Due by April 9th*
*Payments must be paid at this time or student will not perform.

Please note the above dates. As a courtesy we will have dates posted in the studio lobby and send an email as a reminder payments are due.
Payment received after the due dates are subject to late fees that will automatically be added the following period tuition. These dates are also available on your yearly calendar. So please keep a copy of these dates.

Late Fee Policy
A "Late Fee" will be charged $10.00 per week that tuition is unpaid. These charges will be automatically applied to your account. Any unpaid balance will result in the student not performing.
Refund Policy
Tuition is non-refundable except in a case of serious injury or illness. Refund or credit will be on a pro-rated basis only for classes missed. Tuition will be refunded upon the date we receive a written request and will not be retroactive to any earlier date. A signed Doctor's note is required for any refund
Costume FeeA non-refundable Costume Fee will be charged in a performance option. Costume fees are due by October 23rd for the full year or Winter. Spring is due
by February 19th 2011. All costumes will be kept, stored and maintained by SSB for use in future performances.

Rehearsal Fee
There will be a ONE TIME "Production Rehearsal Fee" to cover additional in-studio costs for and the Rehearsal Week prior to the Performances. This fee will be due with the due with the October 23rd Payment.

| Attendance and Dress Code |
Students are required to attend and arrive 5 to 10 minutes prior to all classes for which they
have registered. Students arriving late may be asked to observe class. Absences are allowed only for medical reasons, illness,
injury or serious personal problems. If a student has several unexcused absences, or excessive tardiness this may compromise the student's
participation in the "Winter Festival" and/or "Spring Performance".
Please notify SSB of all absences. All students must abide by the "Required Class Attire" for their level. Shoe size and fit must be approved by teacher or directors prior to student attending classes.
Students not in the proper attire may be asked to observe class. For dress code and attire click here Dress Code.
All ladies hair should be pulled back in a tight bun with no bangs. No jewelry, gum, food or drinks (except water in a plastic bottle) will be allowed in the studios
For safety reasons for all students, if a student misses any one of the full run-throughs, technical, or dress rehearsal,
the student may be asked not to perform.
Please keep in mind, for the betterment and safety of the student, it is not uncommon for certain students to repeat or remain in the same level for more than one school year.
Do not bring cash, jewelry, or other valuables to the studio. Scottsdale School of Ballet is not responsible for any lost or stolen articles.

SSB Viewing Week |
For our students, viewing weeks are an integral part of learning to perform.We encourage parents to attend as often as you like during these weeks.
Viewing days will be Monday thru Saturday.
Parents will only
be allowed to view classes during the SSB Viewing Days. We welcome
and encourage parents, family members and friends to come and
see the progress of the students throughout the year during this time. Please
arrive prior to the class start time and turn off all pagers,
cell phones. Siblings may attend but please, no babies or children under 3 years old
during these classes. If you arrire late or have to leave early please wait until the exercise is finished
You may take
photographs or videotape your child during these classes. Special
arrangements to view classes outside of the Viewing Week may
be made upon request of the directors. Viewing Weeks are:

| Calendar |
Upon registration your child will receive a calendar for the
entire year. Included will be all days off, weeks off, vacation days, and holidays observed by SSB and payment due dates.
Detailed Theater
technical and dress rehearsals along with Performance dates
and theater location will be provided at a later date.
